Our School Age Program, throughout the school year is primarily before and after care. We do offer full day care when Wentzville School District is closed for professional development days for an additional fee. Heritage busses children to and from the Tree House. We transport children to and from Peine Elementary School and we also do an afternoon pick-up for Boone Trail. Since the children are in such regimented structure throughout the day, Ms. Kayla, our School Age teacher (who is pursuing her degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education) tries to keep it light and fun. She provides them with snack upon their arrival and makes sure they get to enjoy their outside time! It is a relaxed atmosphere where the children are offered help with their homework, if they need it. Ms. Kayla tries to find things that the children are already interested in and expands upon it. They worked a solid two weeks building a leprechaun trap, long after St. Patrick’s Day was past. They build amazing creations out of Legos and some very intricate forts. Ms. Kayla has a riddle for them every day, which spawns some friendly competition for a delicious treat! This is a very fun group of kids and Ms. Kayla enjoys her time with them!
